Stella L. Pitts served as a principal of S.L. Pitts PC and managed the firm from 2001 through 2020. Her practice focused on complex family law cases involving dissolution and custody.
With a focus on transformational law, the idea that the law is a healing profession that ultimately resolves the well-being of complicated relationships between people, Stella was an avid leader in the legal community and regularly delivered legal education seminars on family law issues.
Stella first started in the legal profession managing small law firms while earning her undergraduate degree and her law degree. She began her practice as a family law attorney at Keller Rohrback and Casey Gordon Davis before opening S.L. Pitts PC.
Stella was an active member of the American Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association and the King County Washington Women Lawyers, for which she served as president in 1996. Stella was also a member of the Family Law CASA Board of Directors.
Stella received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and her B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Alaska.
